Ceramics
La Toccata d'Italia travels to Italy yearly to locate the finest producers of ceramics. We have pieces from Deruta, Torgiano, and Gubbio in Umbria; Montelupo and San Gimignano in Tuscany; and Monreale, Sicily. Each piece is a unique work of art, handcrafted and hand painted in a centuries old tradition. Because of this, there can be variations in size and color. Most items are both food and dishwasher safe on the "energy saver" setting; however, we recommend handwashing. Crazing, tiny cracks in the glaze, can occur when repeatedly exposed to high temperatures. This is only cosmetic and does not effect the ceramics.
